Αποτελεί αναπόσπαστο κομμάτι της καθημερινής μας ρουτίνας, ένα βήμα που η πλειοψηφία δεν παραλείπει. Από πού προήλθε όμως; Πώς εξελίχθηκε η τέχνη της αρωματοποιίας ανά τα χρόνια; Εν τέλει, πώς να διαλέξει κανείς το άρωμα που του ταιριάζει; Όλα αυτά τα ερωτήματα θα απαντηθούν απλά και κατανοητά στις επόμενες γραμμές.
Σήμερα το άρωμα χρησιμοποιείται από όλους. Δεν αποτελεί αποκλειστικό προνόμιο των πλουσίων και των ηγεμόνων, όπως τους προηγούμενους αιώνες. Πλέον τα αρώματα παράγονται κατά χιλιάδες. Όλοι οι διάσημοι οίκοι λανσάρουν ετησίως δεκάδες καινούργιες προτάσεις και μίξεις αρωμάτων, κάθε μία από τις οποίες έχει τη δική της ιστορία. Εξ ου και τα ευφάνταστα ονόματα και οι ιδιαίτερες συσκευασίες. Το άρωμά μας είναι ο καθρέφτης μας και αυτό ακριβώς προσπαθούν να περάσουν οι εταιρείες σ ‘ εμάς τους καταναλωτές. Αφού λοιπόν τα αρώματα λένε πολλά για την προσωπικότητά μας, ακολουθούν μερικές συμβουλές οι οποίες θα σας βοηθήσουν να επιλέξετε το άρωμα που σας ταιριάζει.
TIPS
- Σύμφωνα με έρευνες που έχουν γίνει από αρωματοποιούς έχει αποδειχθεί πως παίζει σημαντικό ρόλο η επιδερμίδα κάθε ανθρώπου. Οι ανοιχτές επιδερμίδες είναι δεκτικές σε πιο λουλουδάτα και δροσερά αρώματα ,ενώ οι σταρένιες , σε πιο ξυλώδη και ανατολίτικα. Αυτό όμως δεν αποτελεί κανόνα. Η πρώτη συμβουλή λοιπόν, είναι να είστε ανοιχτοί στη δοκιμή αρωμάτων όλων των κατηγοριών.
- Κάντε μία έρευνα σχετικά με τις νότες που περιέχει κάθε άρωμα. Έτσι θα έχετε μια πρώτη εικόνα σχετικά με το πού να κινηθείτε. Επιλέξτε νότες που σας αρέσουν και δεν σας κουράζουν ή σας ζαλίζουν.
- Μην επιλέγετε βάσει του brand name αποκλειστικά. Υπάρχουν πολλά αρώματα στην αγορά με μεγάλο κόστος που είναι υπερεκτιμημένα. Δώστε ευκαιρία και σε λιγότερο γνωστές εταιρείες.
- Μην αγοράσετε άρωμα αμέσως μόλις το δοκιμάσετε. Φορέστε το, αφήστε το τουλάχιστον δύο ώρες πάνω στο δέρμα σας να δείτε πώς θα εξελιχθεί. Οι νότες που αναδύονται με το πρώτο ψέκασμα είναι διαφορετικές απο αυτές που εν τέλει θα μείνουν πάνω στην επιδερμίδα. Δώστε του χρόνο να σας αποκαλυφθεί σταδιακά.
Γίνετε εσείς οι δημιουργοί του αρώματός σας
Στην Ελλάδα τα τελευταία χρόνια ανοίγουν ολοένα και περισσότερα καταστήματα με αρώματα. Πολλά τείνουν να αντιγράφουν τις προτάσεις μεγάλων οίκων με ιδιαίτερη επιτυχία. Το χαμηλό τους κόστος αποτελεί πόλο έλξης για τους πελάτες, καθώς ένα μεγάλο ποσοστό δεν έχει τη δυνατότητα να ξοδέψει 100-200 € για ένα branded άρωμα. Οι απόψεις όσον αφορά αυτή την επιλογή διίστανται. Η αλήθεια είναι πως αποτελεί μια αρκετά συμφέρουσα εναλλακτική και μπορείτε εύκολα να ” ξεγελάσετε ” τους γύρω σας.
Πιστεύω όμως πως εφόσον καταφύγετε στη λύση του φθηνού αρώματος, θα ήταν πιο ενδιαφέρον να δημιουργήσετε το δικό σας άρωμα. Πολλά καταστήματα προσφέρουν τη δυνατότητα της μίξης δύο με τριών νοτών και τη δημιουργία ενός δικού σας αρώματος που θα φοράτε εσείς και κανείς άλλος! Συνδυάστε μυρωδιές που σας αρέσουν και σας ταξιδεύουν και με τη σωστή καθοδήγηση του ειδικού μπορείτε να βρείτε αυτό που σας ταιριάζει.
Σαν γενική συμβουλή, θα πρότεινα να βγείτε από το comfort zone σας και να πειραματιστείτε. Αρπάξτε την ευκαιρία της δημιουργίας ενός αρώματος και βάλτε τη δική σας υπογραφή.
Παρακάτω θα βρείτε μια μικρή αναδρομή σχετικά με τη δημιουργία του αρώματος.
Το άρωμα στην αρχαιότητα
Στην αρχαιότητα, το άρωμα και η χρήση του, ήταν άρρηκτα συνδεδεμένο με τη θρησκεία. Οι Αιγύπτιοι, οι οποίοι θεωρούνται οι πρώτοι δημιουργοί αρώματος, το χρησιμοποιούσαν κατά κύριο λόγο για την ταρίχευση. Το δικαίωμα παρασκευής το είχαν μόνο οι ιερείς ,καθώς γι’ αυτούς το άρωμα θεωρούνταν “ιερό” δώρο από τον Θεό.
Οι Έλληνες, πίστευαν πως τα αρώματα δημιουργήθηκαν από τη Θεά Αφροδίτη, τις συνταγές της οποίας έκλεψε μια υπηρέτριά της και τις μοίρασε στους κοινούς θνητούς.
Κατά τον 6ο αιώνα, για τους μουσουλμάνους η χρήση αρώματος αποτελούσε θρησκευτικό καθήκον. Το μπάνιο και η χρήση αρωμάτων ήταν υποχρεωτικά κάθε Παρασκευή για όλους τους άντρες. Ο Μωάμεθ υποσχόταν πως “ο Κήπος του παραδείσου θα ευωδιάζει από τα πιο ξεχωριστά αρώματα”.
Κατά τον Μεσαίωνα η τέχνη της αρωματοποιίας άρχισε να παρακμάζει. Οι Σταυροφόροι έφεραν από τις Ινδίες και την Κίνα διάφορα μπαχάρια και έλαια τα οποία χρησιμοποιούσαν οι αλχημιστές για “θεραπευτικούς” σκοπούς ,για την προστασία από τις επιδημίες. Ωστόσο για την Εκκλησία η χρήση των αρωμάτων θεωρούνταν ύποπτη για πρακτικές μαύρης μαγείας και όποιος τα χρησιμοποιούσε οδηγούνταν στην πυρά!
Η εξέλιξη και η άνθιση του αρώματος
Πέρασαν αρκετά χρόνια ώστε να καταφέρει να ανθίσει η αρωματοποιία στην Ευρώπη. Την αρχή έκανε ένας Ούγγρος αλχημιστής ,ο οποίος δημιούργησε το ” νερό της βασίλισσας της Ουγγαρίας”. Ήταν μια λοσιόν αποτελούμενη από λεβάντα, μέντα, μαντζουράνα, άνθος πορτοκαλιού και λεμονιού. Πέρα από άρωμα χρησιμοποιήθηκε και ως φάρμακο για διάφορες παθήσεις (βουβωνική πανώλη).
Η ακμή της τέχνης της αρωματοποιΐας ταυτίστηκε με τις γεωγραφικές ανακαλύψεις του 15ου και 16ου αιώνα καθώς οι ταξιδιώτες έφεραν από την Αμερική και την Ινδία νέα υλικά: κακάο, βανίλια, κάρδαμο, πιπέρι, καπνό και γαρίφαλο, συστατικά τα οποία συναντώνται και σήμερα στην πλειοψηφία των αρωμάτων.
Σταδιακά λοιπόν, οι αλχημείες αντικαταστάθηκαν από επιστημονικούς χημικούς τύπους και πέραν αυτού ξεκίνησε η εμφάνιση χρωματιστών ,ιδιαίτερων γυάλινων φιαλιδίων όπου τοποθετούνταν τα αρώματα. Έτσι αυξήθηκε και η τιμή τους. Τον 17ο αιώνα παρατηρήθηκε στη Γαλλία φρενίτιδα με τη χρήση αρωμάτων. Πότιζαν τα πάντα με αρώματα. Το Παρίσι ήταν το κέντρο παραγωγής των προϊόντων της αρωματοποιΐας και η πόλη Grasse θεωρήθηκε η μητρόπολη της παγκόσμιας αρωματοποιίας. Μέχρι και σήμερα τα πιο πολύτιμα ιαματικά βότανα και αρώματα καλλιεργούνται εκεί.
