Η Μαρία Σγούρου, μια γυναίκα νέα, φρέσκια, γεμάτη ταλέντα· είναι ψυχολόγος και ψυχοθεραπεύτρια. Πες μας λίγα λόγια για εσένα.
Είμαι η Μαρία Σγούρου, είμαι Αναπτυξιακή Ψυχολόγος και εκπαιδευόμενη Ψυχοθεραπεύτρια Gestalt. Ζω και εργάζομαι στη Θεσσαλονίκη. Έχω τελειώσει στο Τμήμα Ψυχολογία του Α.Π.Θ. και αμέσως μετά ολοκλήρωσα το μεταπτυχιακό μου, στην Αναπτυξιακή Ψυχοπαθολογία, στην Ιατρική του Α.Π.Θ. Ταυτόχρονα, ειδικεύομαι στην Ψυχοθεραπεία Gestalt, στο Gestalt Foundation Θεσσαλονίκης.
Εργάζομαι με παιδιά, εφήβους και ενήλικες σε ατομικό και ομαδικό επίπεδο και έχω το δικό μου γραφείο στη Θεσσαλονίκη, στο κέντρο της πόλης. Ακόμη, ασχολούμαι με τη ζωγραφική, την οποία χρησιμοποιώ και σαν εργαλείο για τη δουλειά μου. Πιστεύω ότι η Τέχνη μπορεί να λειτουργήσει διαμεσολαβητικά, για τη ρύθμιση του συναισθήματος, μπορεί να γίνει τρόπος έκφρασης, να γίνει δίαυλος, μέσω του οποίου, αποσυμπιέζεται η ψυχική ένταση. Είμαι γυναίκα με αναπηρία. Έχω, εκ γενετής, μια κινητική αναπηρία και μετακινούμαι με αναπηρικό αμαξίδιο.
Πως ήταν τα παιδικά σου χρόνια ως ένα παιδί με αναπηρία, στην Ελλάδα; Θα ήθελες να αλλάξεις κάτι, αν μπορούσες, στην αντιμετώπιση των ατόμων με αναπηρία, από την ελληνική κοινωνία;
Εγώ μεγάλωσα σε μια μικρή επαρχιακή πόλη, στη Βέροια και μετακόμισα στη Θεσσαλονίκη για να σπουδάσω. Όλα μου τα χρόνια, λοιπόν, τα πέρασα σε ένα περιβάλλον αρκετά προστατευμένο, καθώς είχα γύρω μου μια πολύ δεμένη οικογένεια και πολύ υποστηρικτική σε όλα, όχι μόνο στην αναπηρία. Τα παιδικά μου χρόνια είχανε έντονο το ιατρικό κομμάτι. Επικεντρώθηκα πάρα πολύ στα μαθήματα, δόθηκε μεγάλη βάση, βέβαια, και απ’ την οικογένεια μου, σε όλη τη σχολική πορεία μου. Με τους φίλους τα κατάφερνα, επίσης, καλά. Ήμουν, δηλαδή, πολύ κοινωνική με μεγάλες παρέες.
Μπορώ να πω, πως για αρκετά χρόνια -και στα φοιτητικά χρόνια- ζούσα με ένα τρόπο τόσο προσαρμοσμένο στους μη ανάπηρους ανθρώπους, ώστε «παρίστανα» σαν να μην υπήρχε αναπηρία. Δηλαδή, ήμουν ικανή να στρεβλώσω τις ανάγκες του σώματος μου, να τις παραβλέψω, να τις πάω πίσω, να τις σιωπήσω, αρκεί να ήμουν αναμεμειγμένη με τους υπόλοιπους και να μη φαίνεται το έλλειμμα μου. Σε αυτό, φυσικά, έπαιξε ρόλο πως, όντας παιδί με αναπηρία, δεν είχα να συγκριθώ με άλλα παιδιά με αναπηρία, δεν είχα, δηλαδή, εικόνα ή είχα μια περιορισμένη εικόνα του πως είναι οι άλλοι ανάπηροι. Δεν είχα να καθρεπτιστώ, σε κάτι σχετικό με την αναπηρία. Καθρεπτιζόμουν, μόνο, σε μη ανάπηρους ανθρώπους, σε μη ανάπηρους φίλους, σε μη ανάπηρους γονείς, δηλαδή, όλος μου ο κύκλος ήταν μη ανάπηροι. Το συγκεκριμένο οφείλεται στη μικρή ορατότητα των ανθρώπων με αναπηρία, με άλλα λόγια, όταν εγώ ήμουν παιδί, ήταν λίγοι οι ανάπηροι που διεκδικούσαν μια θέση στο κέντρο του κύκλου, στο κέντρο της κοινωνικής σκηνής, αν μπορώ να το πω έτσι και νιώθω πως εξακολουθούν να είναι λίγοι. Οπότε, αυτό είναι κάτι που χρειάζεται να αλλάξει και σιγά σιγά αλλάζει. Δηλαδή, τώρα, τα παιδιά με αναπηρία έχουν να ταυτιστούν με ορισμένα πρότυπα, όχι, βέβαια, αρκετά.
Ακόμη, αυτό που χρειάζεται να αλλάξει η ελληνική κοινωνία, είναι βασικά την αναπαράστασή της, για την αναπηρία. Η αναπηρία είναι μία κοινωνική κατασκευή και έχει να κάνει με το πως διαμορφώνονται οι κοινωνικές αναπαραστάσεις, για την κάθε διαφορετικότητα, είτε αυτή είναι φύλο, είτε φυλή, είτε θρησκευτικές πεποιθήσεις, είτε σεξουαλικός προσανατολισμός, είτε κοινωνικοοικονομική κατάσταση. Όμως, με την αναπηρία, υπάρχει μια επιπλέον δυσκολία και εξηγώ αμέσως τι εννοώ.
Πιστεύω ότι όλοι οι άνθρωποι και όχι μόνο στην Ελλάδα, έχουν κάποια δυσκολία στο πως βλέπουν τη διαφορετικότητα και ειδικά την αναπηρία, γιατί συγκριμένα η αναπηρία, φέρνει το άτομο σε επαφή με έναν υπαρξιακό φόβο, το φόβο της ασθένειας, της αρρώστιας, της αδυναμίας, του ελλείμματος, του θανάτου. Σκέψου πως μπορεί κάποιος να ξυπνήσει και να είναι ανάπηρος -δε μπορεί να ξυπνήσει και να είναι μαύρος, ούτε να πιστεύει σε άλλη θρησκεία- . Αυτή η τυχαιότητα της αναπηρίας και το ενδεχόμενο όλοι, από αύριο, να ξυπνήσουμε και να έχουμε μια αναπηρία, είναι και ο λόγος που οι άνθρωποι θέλουν να τη ξορκίσουν και μαζί της ξορκίζουν και τους ανθρώπους με αναπηρία, σαν να είναι φορείς κάποιας υπενθύμισης, σαν να υπενθυμίζουν τη τυχαιότητα της ύπαρξης και της ανυπαρξίας και της «αναποδιάς» στη ζωή.
Αυτή, φυσικά, η υποσυνείδητη τάση του ανθρώπου να αποφεύγει οτιδήποτε τον «απειλεί» υπαρξιακά, επηρεάζει και τα παιδιά με αναπηρία και το τρόπο που μεγαλώνουν. Πολλές φορές, οι γονείς κλείνουν τα μάτια στο έλλειμμα. Δεν προσπαθούν να ενσωματώσουν την ταυτότητα της αναπηρίας, τόσο στη δική τους αναπαράσταση για τον εαυτό τους, όσο και στη δόμηση της ταυτότητας του παιδιού και ωθούν τα παιδιά σε μια ζωή που απέχει από τις ρεαλιστικές δυνάμεις και αδυναμίες τους, προσδίδοντάς τους μια ταυτότητα σούπερ-ήρωα, δηλαδή “…μπορείς να κάνεις τα πάντα- ακόμη και το ανέφικτο”, γεγονός, το οποίο έχει μεγάλο κόστος και δεν βοηθάει καθόλου στην αποδοχή.
Κάτι κρίσιμο, που θα άλλαζα, φυσικά, είναι οι υποδομές! Οι υποδομές στις πόλεις, στα χωριά, παντού. Ανάπηρες είναι οι πόλεις! Ανάπηρα είναι τα κτίρια! Ανάπηρα είναι τα πεζοδρόμια! Δεν είναι ανάπηρος ο άνθρωπος! Δεν είναι ανάπηρο το παιδί! Ο ανάπηρος έχει βρει το τρόπο να κινείται και αυτός είναι το αμαξίδιο του, αυτό είναι το μπαστούνι του, αυτός είναι ο σκύλος του και ο βοηθός του. Όταν, όμως, το περιβάλλον, το πεδίο δεν επιτρέπει αυτή τη κίνηση, τότε το πεδίο έχει την αναπηρία. Είναι κρίσιμο να βελτιωθούν οι υποδομές, όπως και οι μετακινήσεις και τα Μέσα Μαζικής Μεταφοράς.
Κάτι άλλο που επίσης χρήζει αλλαγής είναι η προβολή στα Μέσα Μαζικής Ενημέρωσης, στα σόσιαλ, στις ταινίες, στα σίριαλ. Στην ελληνική τηλεόραση είναι ελάχιστοι οι ανάπηροι χαρακτήρες και τους παίζουν μη ανάπηροι ηθοποιοί, δίχως να υπάρχει το επιθυμητό αποτέλεσμα. Στην ουσία, είναι λίγοι οι ανάπηροι τραγουδιστές, οι ανάπηροι ηθοποιοί, τα ανάπηρα μοντέλα, οι ανάπηροι διασκεδαστές. Οι ανάπηροι δεν προβάλλονται ως κάτι όμορφο, ως κάτι φυσιολογικό, ώστε να ταυτίζονται οι άνθρωποι μαζί τους.
Ερχόμενοι στο σήμερα, βλέπουμε τη Μαρία, ένα κορίτσι που δε δίστασε λεπτό να πραγματοποιήσει τα όνειρα του. Τι είναι αυτό που σε οδήγησε στο συγκεκριμένο αντικείμενο σπουδών;
Θα μου επιτρέψεις. Γυναίκα με αναπηρία και όχι κορίτσι. Λοιπόν, ανέκαθεν ήμουν ένας άνθρωπος με φιλοδοξίες και όνειρα. Ήμουν πολύ καλή μαθήτρια, οπότε είχα και τη δυνατότητα να τα πραγματοποιήσω, δίνοντας από μόνη μου τον αέρα στον εαυτό μου, για το κάτι παραπάνω. Ξεκίνησα έχοντας βλέψεις για Πολιτικές Επιστήμες, αργότερα για Δημοσιογραφία και η Ψυχολογία προέκυψε γύρω στα δεκαέξι. Είχα πάντα μια τάση να μπορώ να μπω στη θέση του άλλου, να είμαι καλή ακροάτρια. Αυτό ήταν κάτι που η οικογένεια μου το παρατήρησε και με προέτρεψε να το σκεφτώ. Η σκέψη ξεκίνησε να μου αρέσει. Επίσης, ένας πολύ σημαντικός άνθρωπος στη ζωή μου, ο εργοθεραπευτής μου, που είναι ταυτόχρονα ψυχολόγος και ψυχαναλυτής, συνέβαλλε σημαντικά στην απόφασή μου. Έγινε το πρότυπο μου και με μύησε με τρόπο τρυφερό, απλό και καθημερινό, στις βασικές αρχές της Επιστήμης μας. Κάπως έτσι, αποφάσισα να το τολμήσω, έβαλα το στόχο μου, έδωσα πανελλαδικές, με κόπο, με κούραση, γιατί, όταν δίνει ένας ανάπηρος πανελλαδικές, το σωματικό κόστος είναι διπλό, και τα κατάφερα.
Μέσα στη σχολή επέλεξα την επαγγελματική πορεία, που ήθελα να ακολουθήσω. Άρχισα να φαντάζομαι το δικό μου γραφείο , την κλινική δουλειά, στην πράξη, στη μάχη, στον καθημερινό αγώνα για την ανακούφιση του ψυχικού πόνου των ανθρώπων.
Η αναπηρία μου έπαιξε ρόλο στην επιλογή της σταδιοδρομίας μου και αυτό το κατάλαβα κατά τη διάρκεια της φοίτησής μου. Είχα μια καθηγήτρια που μας έλεγε, στο αμφιθέατρο πως “…Κανείς δεν είναι εδώ τυχαία. Για να είστε εδώ, σίγουρα κάτι δικό σας θέλετε να θεραπεύσετε”.
Έγινα ψυχολόγος επειδή έχω κάτι να δώσω και να πάρω!
Πως φαντάζεσαι την Μαρία σε δέκα χρόνια; Ποια τα όνειρα και οι επιθυμίες σου;
Είναι δύσκολη η ερώτηση, επειδή η διαδρομή μου, ως τώρα, έχει δείξει πως τα πράγματα αλλάζουν άρδην, από στιγμή σε στιγμή, και πολλές από τις φαντασιώσεις, που είχα, πριν δέκα χρόνια, για τον εαυτό μου, δεν έχουν γίνει πραγματικότητα, αντίθετα, έχουν συμβεί πολύ καλύτερα πράγματα, που δε μπορούσα καν να τα διανοηθώ.
Το μόνο σίγουρο είναι πως θέλω να έχω την υγεία μου, ζεστασιά, τρυφερότητα, συντροφικότητα. Με ενδιαφέρει πολύ να είμαι αυτόνομη και ανεξάρτητη. Μια φιλοδοξία μου, δηλαδή, που αποτελεί και το μεγαλύτερο όνειρο μου είναι να αυτονομηθώ και να οργανώνω τη ζωή μου μόνη μου. Η αυτονομία και η ανεξαρτησία του αναπήρου είναι, για εμένα, μια πολιτική πράξη και έχει σημαντικές ανθρωπιστικές και πολιτικές προεκτάσεις, για κάθε διαφορετικότητα, για όλους τους ανθρώπους, μιας και όλοι είμαστε, με κάποιο τρόπο διαφορετικοί.
Ανέφερες πως δουλεύεις και με παιδιά. Τι είναι αυτό που “κρατάς” από την επαφή σου με τα παιδιά;
Βεβαίως, εργάζομαι και με παιδιά. Η επαφή με τα παιδιά είναι κάτι μοναδικό, είναι μια ατόφια, ψυχική ανταμοιβή για τη δουλειά που γίνεται, για εμένα, για το ότι είμαι εκεί. Ο πλούτος, που κρύβουν μέσα τους τα παιδιά, είναι κάτι που με αναζωογονεί. Μετά από κάθε συνεδρία, νοιώθω πιο ζωντανή και πιο δροσερή. Αυτό που με κάνει να θέλω να δουλεύω με τα παιδιά, είναι η αίσθηση της ελπίδας, είναι οι φάσεις, στις οποίες βρίσκονται και οι οποίες εναλλάσσονται, οι αναπτυξιακές τους φάσεις, που είναι τόσο ανοιχτές και δεκτικές στην αλλαγή. Τα παιδιά, ακόμη και στην εφηβεία τους, αλλά και ως νεαροί ενήλικες, είναι τόσο δεκτικά στο να αλλάξουν, να πάρουν δηλαδή τη βοήθεια και να την αξιοποιήσουν με τον γόνιμο τρόπο, πράγμα το οποίο είναι μαγικό και δυστυχώς περιορίζεται, μεγαλώνοντας.
Με τα παιδιά περνάω πάρα πολύ όμορφα. Και εδώ πρέπει να καταλάβουμε κάτι. Πως η συνεδρία δεν είναι παιχνίδι. Είναι μοίρασμα ψυχικό, καθώς τα παιδιά έχουν μια ωριμότητα που πάντα θα με αφοπλίζει. Έχουν μια απίστευτη ικανότητα να μοιράζονται βαθιά ψυχικά πράγματα, ακόμη κι αν δε μπορούν να τα βάλουν ακριβώς στη σειρά, με τα λόγια, που θα τα έβαζε ένας ενήλικας. Η δική μου δουλειά είναι να λειτουργήσω σαν διευκολυντικός παράγοντας για να βρουν, μόνα τους, τα λόγια και πολύ περισσότερο να είμαι εκεί για να τα ακούσω.
Με τα παιδιά δουλεύουμε συναισθηματικές δυσκολίες και ζητήματα συμπεριφοράς, προβλήματα προσαρμογής και ζητήματα στη σχέση με τους γονείς. Το απόρρητο των συνεδριών είναι δεδομένο, υπάρχει, φυσικά, και συνεννόηση με τους γονείς, καθώς, αυτό που επιδιώκω, είναι να δημιουργήσω ένα πολύπλευρο δίκτυο υποστήριξης για το παιδί αλλά και για την οικογένεια. Ασφαλώς, δεν βρίσκομαι εκεί, για να υποκαταστήσω τη σχέση του γονέα, με το παιδί του. Είμαι εκεί, για να αναδείξω την αγάπη του παιδιού για τον γονέα και το αντίστροφο και για να διευκολύνω τη σχέση τους, όπου αυτή παρουσιάζει εντάσεις και δυσκολίες.
